    Job System

I can live with no personal spaces (Houses),
I can live with no mail (Barely...),
I COULD live with the job system again after XI...
I COULDN'T live with having to go back to town just to switch from Archer to Pugilist!

Has ANYONE got any info on this? got a feeling I just missed out a Lodestone post or 2, my Anima sucks as it is and I don't fancy having to call a chocobo (assuming we'll be able to call them...) just to go get a change of job...

Hopefully it'll just be a Menu option but I doubt I'll get that lucky...

Thanks in advance, to anyone posting useful information anyway...

Honestly i wish they would have had just a menu right from the start instead of making the weapon the way we change, that way it would be easy to let people use multiple weapons and not worry about it if they did change the classes around or add the job system.

Im gonna go ahead and assume its either 1) a menu thing, you choose when you equip 2) weapons will be specific to jobs or 3) if you equip a say "PLD" skill it will make you PLD and lock out w/e stuff you cant use.

Really not any info that we can go off of yet... We will just have to wait until after 1.19 releases.

    I don't even...

where did you get any idea that the coming job system in any way even suggested having to use a city hub to change classes?

    From what I understand.

You change your Class using weapons like Normal, If you have a job unlocked for that class you select it as active in your Skills Menu.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

You won't need to go anywhere to change jobs. As of now it is 1 class = 1 job. Changing classes only requires changing weapons and jobs will not be like jobs in FFXI but more like talent trees from WOW(no u wont assign points) as it will give your class a specialty. Glad will have a paladin job which will grant you additional abilities, traits and the ability to equip paladin gear all to enhance the tanking skills of your Gladiator. You unlock it after doing a quest and i guess it will stick to your class whenever you are on that class.

^ the thing is, that will change and they already said it will happen (they mentioned the THM + CON = RDM example) so what they do here will determine how that works too. Im pretty sure they wont suddenly re-adjust the whole system when those come into play.

It could be as simple as "if you are on a class that unlocks this job you can change to it"

you dont read the producer letters then? and i'm going on the basis of XI (since this is starting to feel like an upgraded XI)

For the record the current class change is called the "Armory system" to the best of my knowledge... or it was in the beta anyway...
