Crafting timer?

This has been my single biggest complaint about crafting. You are basically locked into the synthesis for the next minute or two. Eliminating the timer or even adding a pause button would make replying to tells or handling real life emergencies so much easier.

Would be really nice, I can't recall how many times I've smelt food burning and just started a synth, or someone at the door or bathroom emergency ... >.>

That 1min feels so very long
