You can still listen to the music, it's in Ul'dah's opening CS. Took me forever to figure this out lol.
So no, it's not gone entirely :P

Oh ya.... that is true... I'll make sure after dev's add the new tutorials for newbies and when I test it out I don't start from Ul'dah.... thx

*reactivates BGM*
I liked it..for a short while anyways XD I found myself unconsciously turning my computer volume down after listening to it for too long.
Unfortunately a majority of people seemed to dislike it. I even saw people /shouting in uldah's streets saying they couldn't stand it O.o
The music totally fit the event, but like most people here...Since I'm lower ranked still I heard it in EVERY ZONE and CAMP I WENT TO. The times I would venture a little farther out and hear normal Black Shroud music...oh god it was heavenly <3
It was catchy as hell!
I rest my case.
I could not stand the horns but I grew to appreciate the bass line and overall Uematsu magic of the tune. I think with a live band it'd be a nice mellow number to sip a mojito to at a beach side restaurant...
...so long as it wasn't the only tune they played over and over and over...
