I'll sell you a handfull of magic beans for 50.
Seriously though, what's the best thing you could buy for £130? Is it a plastic dragon?

A lot of official SE figures sell for £50 plus so its not that much of a stretch.
I would personally never spend more than 35GBP on a standard PC edition or 60GBP on a PC CE for any game but that is my choice. The previously listed price prior to site being taken down of 130GBP does seem extremely high given the known (relatively small) size of the figurine plus how few physical items are in the package. It works out at almost 200USD in conversation of currencies, US customers would probably not be so defensive of the cost and arguing against UK customers if they had to pay an additional 70USD on top of their current 130USD price for their CE. I am hoping they just cocked up the listing for those who were interested in getting a physical CE edition in the UK even if I would not be interested in it myself anyways.

Well when you take into account using an actual conversion it would cost $192, will I spend almost $60 more for the exact same item just because I am British not American no, never, SE needs to seriously look at this before customers start talking to MEPs and trying to get legislation passed to ensure fair prices.
No, price is awful.
Well, at the rate they're going you wont have to worry if the CE is 130 GBP.
Considering the EU site's still down. Maybe when it comes back up they'll have fixed the price too :P
Prices in general are quite high.
I have no actual pricing in €, but 39,99$ at actual exchange rate is nearly the full price ARR sold it´s standard edition when launched...
i don´t know what in sum we get for that money, but as teasers show right now, it´s not much groundbreaking new stuff which would make up for a full-price title + monthly fee...
i´am really not sure if i want to...
It all depends if you think the CE is worth that price or not. The Digital version of the CE is supposedly being sold for 60 Dollars, so what will you get for those extra 70 bucks?
When SE released the “Art of Eorzea - Another Dawn” artbook, it was being sold for around 30 bucks. A (PVC) statue of this size normally gets sold between 20 to 60 bucks (depending on quality, franchise, retailer, etc). The “Eorzea in Motion - A Realm Revisited” only contains a compilation of all the trailers released for A Realm Reborn, so it doesn’t have that much added value outside of a collectable item.
- "The Dragonsong War" Box
The Collector's Edition package features an illustration by famed FINAL FANTASY artist Yoshitaka Amano.
- Expertly-Crafted Dragon Mount Figure
A high-quality figure modeled after the new flying mount obtainable in the course of your adventures.
- FINAL FANTASY: Heavensward Art Book "The Art of Eorzea -HEAVENSWARD-"
This art book features a host of artwork created during the development of FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Movie Blu-ray Disc "Eorzea in Motion - A Realm Revisited"
A high-definition compilation of all the trailers released for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Other than that, you’ll get the same in-game items as the Digital Collectors Edition and you’ll get the game on Disc (instead of a download only).
So, like i said. If you think the Collectable Items of the Expansion Pack are worth the price tag, then you would consider buying it. If not, no harm done.
Yes, I know that the European Store mentioned that CE would cost 130 GBP while the current exchange rate would not justify the price tag of 130 dollars, euros and GBPs.
The official price in for the expansion pack 14800 Yen and with the current exchange rate that would be 122 US Dollars, 115 Euro’s and 82 GBP. People are already discussing that in another thread and if you want to discuss the conversion rate, i would really suggest joining in on that conversion so that the Community Reps have 1 thread with all of the feedback from their playerbase about that subject.
The only question people should ask themselves is, “Is the Physical CE Box worth it’s price tag?” which only you could answer for yourself with a simple “yes” or “no”.

Definitely will be spending the least amount possible to get in the HW door.
Skyrim came with a very similar CE bundle with art and whatnot at about the same price, but the dragon statue that came with that was significantly bigger (probably about 10x looking at images of both...). The statues don't interest me, so while I like physically owning games I'll almost certainly have to pass this one and go digital. I could really do with a new iPod!
