    GTX 980 SLI poor performance

    Is there a problem with SLI in this game? My gpu usage is around 45% for each card, my cpu is a 4770k at 4.4ghz and I simply cannot get a consistent framerate mainly in the city like Uldah, just running around and looking in a direction where there are lots of players tanks the fps from 100+ to as low as 45.
    It seems to be the framerate drops massively when im moving the camera, ive tried disabling sli and whilst performance is more consistent im still dipping below 60fps in some crowded areas which for me is pretty poor on a card that is currently top of the line.
    My question is, is this normal, am I supposed to be getting huge drops depending on where i'm looking in game? Performance outside of town is acceptable but ive had to tick the occlusion culling box which seems to improve performance massively, when approaching the large crystals which I can attune to from a distance the fps drops but its not as huge as it is in town.
    The reason im posting this is basically ive seen other people with inferior hardware claim to be getting 60fps at all times, but I can play other games just fine and more recently the nightmare that is AC Unity is well above 60fps on my setup.

    Any help much appreciated.

    I have 3 GTX 980's in SLI and have no issues with performance. I have everything set to maximum.

    What sort of performance are we talking here, you get no fps drops in the games most crowded areas? You have 3 gtx 980's which I assume will provide much better performance than me but with the scaling in this game i'm not so sure.
