    Need help to with pre-order platform

    if I want to play heavenward on ps4 w/o disc, do i need to buy heavenward as digital download and pre-order PC CE or I can buy PS4 CE and digital download with pc ?

    You can do both, the disc is just an installation, I really doubt that's gonna change since ARR didn't need disc either for anything but installation.

    when I bought FFXIV ps4 on physic copy, I cannot play w/o the disc so I have to install the trial client to be able to play w/o disc, so are you 100% sure the Ps4 heavenward from CE can be play w/o disc ?

    any know the answer ? or I ll have to go with the safe route & pre-order CE on PC and buy PS4 standard version ?

    On PS3 you don't need the disk in order to play the game, but only for the first installation. Maybe it's the same for PS4

    I've played the PS4 edition since May, and I never once needed a physical disc to play, of course I upgraded from the PS3 edition back then so I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but so far my PS4 has never required me to have some form of a disc to play FFXIV.

    It's a weirdness... some members of my FC do need the disc in the system to be able to play XIV. May be something to do with having the game downloaded onto the system? I'm not sure. I did the ps3 to ps4 upgrade myself and plan to only buy the digital CE. I'm just curious to see how this will work on consoles...
