I truly hope that UK and EU players get an answer, but with how long SE has managed to ignore all of us who have bombarded them and begged them to at least even address that there is an issue with RMT... I doubt that there is going to be a response from SE.

Just want to post this for UK people who are thinking of going digital instead, Greenman Gaming at least has a decent price on the digital collectors, £33.74 vs £44.99 on the SE site.

Be aware, if you get a 20% voucher and try to purchase it from the normal listing and apply the voucher and it will fail, but once you have registered you can click the VIP link at the top and pick the listing from that category to get the reduced price without needing to apply a voucher. Not sure how long it will be there, and apologies if anyone has pointed this out already.

But poor show SE, poor show. I still await your reasoning for the decision to gouge (no other word for it) the UK on the physical box.

(edit: and pre-order bonus code was included in the confirmation email for anyone who is wondering)

Thanks very much for that Shaone, I just picked up my digital CE for a fair bit off the SE price.

My partner still has to get the PS4 CE (physical/digital) somehow and he's really tempted to drop the £130 on the physical CE and I think he only hasn't because I keep reminding him that you don't get much for it, considering the cost. His argument is that it's probably going to sell out anyway and that SE aren't really going to learn anything from this.

This works. Yes, make sure to register first, then use the VIP link at the top of the page to purchase. I would have loved to buy the physical collector's edition, but I simply refuse to pay that £130.00 for it.

How many of us stuck to our principles and didn't buy the physical CE. I ended up buying the digital version with EA for thirty something pounds from Green Man Gaming.

I didn't buy the physical collector's edition, but I did buy the digital one.

Also, I forgot to post this:

    BBC Digital Single Market report

I know someone in the thread had commented on this before, but I just thought I'd post it as to say things are now in motion. I would of posted it sooner, but I can be quite scatterbrained at times.

Now, will SE lead by example, or leave it until the very last minute in order to gouge the UK for every last penny it can?

I find this discussion interesting and feel bad that people are getting gouged. In Canada a few years ago the dollars was higher then the US. Prices are generally cheaper in the US for many reasons. So tack on exchange rate and the prices become astronomically different.

Now this might be the relevant part to people in UK. Many companies stated the policies they follow do not include exchange rate pricing. So this ment if they set prices for a market they would not adjust it. Now we live in a digital ordering age. You say why don't you just order from the US. The same companies to protect pricing profits or policies. Refused to sell saying if you wanted the product you would have to order from the Canadian branch. Eventually after some government chirping(nothing done). The companies adjusted some pricing for fear of regulation.

So while you may feel validated on the forums. These companies were willing to risk losing actual sales in a recession. The real work about pricing has to come for governments companies are willing to risk the lost sales for the increase profit. I work for a company that would rather make 60% and sell less then make less then 60%.
