This has royally...me off. im a loyal uk customer who orders on SE website. not retailers. for 20 years ive always bought the CE's for their games. i buy their merchandise, (moogle. cactuar plush etc) i even have the delivery moogle on pre order. i have all the blu-ray OST's. both ffxiv 1.0 and 2.0 CE and PS4+3 versions. but this is where i draw the line. I will NOT pay coming up to double the US equivalent of the same game, to lets be fair. the majority of the ffxiv fanbase, just because i live in a different country. we usually have to pay £1-5 more on most things coming from japan. games are always more. but is is taking the cake.
Its ridiculous when CE and standard versions are such a huge difference. compared to other currencies.
Where does it stop? will we have to pay over the top for future games aswell just because we are in the UK and they dislike converting currencies to make a disgraceful profit?
tell me why i should carry on supporting them from the UK when they do this?

I know this doesnt help but was told EU gets free shipping(not sure if true) NA has to pay well for me standard shipping was over 20 dollars. Guess the 100$+ dollar free shipping doesnt apply to pre order. So im jumping on the SE is greedy train! CHOO CHOO!

What possible reason could there be for 1 single country to have a higher price?

There has to be some weird reason for this, because I doubt they would just do this to one country if they had a choice...

I mean, I know the EU store doesn't ship to UK(*sigh*), but you could basically get it shipped to northern France and just pick it up from there... I doubt there are any difference between UK accounts and EU ones(again *sigh*, UK is in EU..)

Also, this kind of thing usually happens the exact opposite... UK usually is the first country in EU to get stuff, and also the cheapest many times.

Euro is the same. Although currently, 1 Euro - $1.06
