It's called Taxes, don't blame SE, SE is providing you something that they had to pay more taxes on. In order for them to make (or possibly lose money on these) is to keep the price at what it is.

Taxes do not and would not make up the difference between the two prices. It has probably nothing to do with anything more than SE being lazy and just copy pasting the NA price to the EU store and changing the currency symbol.

It's not because of VAT. Even if it was VAT is 20% so that would bring the total to £105.37 not £129.99.

If the price was a mistake, they would have said something by now. So it is safe to say the UK version is £129.

As for people asking for the reason behind this, you will not get a reason, because the reason is simply 'thats what we can sell it at and people will buy it'. SE's Financial/Marketing departments aren't about to show you their figures. They are going to make a hefty margin on this and that's the end of it.

So there you go. If you feel the CE is worth the price tag, go for it, if not then don't buy it. Sadly at this point there is nothing left to be done.

That is correct, as I posted this comment on Reddit yesterday, funny that someone made a picture out of it.

To clarify though, it doesn't include taxation which someone calculated after me.

The prices are still around the same, ~20 cents either side.

wow. Good thing I cancelled my sub lol. I will wait for when the actual damn thing is released, or maybe wait more... I only shed 19.90€ for Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn in summer 2014 lol.

No point in being ingame at (pre) release date and be done with the content (or lack thereof) after a couple weeks like in WoD ahha.

These comments make me laugh. Do you know how much tax they pay? The shipping costs they incur? Your answer is most definitely no, because you dont. I would imagine the higher cost is due to the shipping and tax they pay.

Nope taxes shouldn't be that ridiculous, there are many other companies which have done CE things which are closer in price to what everyone else gets, why does SE get to be different with this?
