How long does writing a twitter post take? A minute? Two minutes? Apparently the "team" currently on twitter is not... shall we say; super effective?

Judging from the frequency of their posts it takes roughly 1-2 hours.

I've said this in another post but I will say it again, conversion rates play absolutely zero part in the pricing, they will price it at what they think it will sell at.

If you really want to voice your complaint over the price, do NOT buy the physical CE. This is the same thing we deal with from companies like EA. They keep doing day one DLC, pre-order bonuses and everything else under the sun, people keep complaining but as they complain they are hitting the go to checkout button.

Hit them in the wallet, that is the only way to make a dent.

Spot on. I'll see if I can buy it in France, the game is out around Hellfest so luckily I will be in France for a few days and I can order it at my folks. If that isn't possible then I'll buy either digital CE (depending on the price) or standard version. I am NOT READY TO PAY £40 MORE BECAUSE THEY THINK IT WILL SELL. And I'm hugely disappointed at SE too, they were doing well so far, but they crushed all of it in 24h. Well played guys <slow claps>.

Honestly, what concerns me is despite the general outcry from this, there are still people saying that they will purchase the Physical CE because they want the figure/book, which basically proves SE's point.

Well, I will buy it because I live in a € country.
Conversion €=$ is almost the same so I cannot see the problem, but I really, really feel your pain, UK players.
If they asked me 200€ or so for that edition I would have refused to buy it, especially because that figure is totally not worth that price.

Oh sorry, just to clarify I was talking specifically about UK players, and others I know in-game who have stated that while the price is ridiculous, they will still buy it.

Well I'm still buying the physical CE if I can get a copy.

At the end of the day nobody is making anyone buy the physical copy..there are other ones out there. If you want the figure and the book then pay the price, if you just want in game items buy the digital CE. No one is making you pay for it.

That is the point he is making, if you just buy it even if you are annoyed by the price it wouldn't stop them doing it again for the next expansion because it shows people don't mind the price if you buy it. I personally am not getting the physical collector's edition just because of the greed SE is showing to the UK players right now. I will just pay for the digital collector's edition at least that was converted unlike the physical counterpart. Also when is the store coming up this is taking way too long.

Yes but it's their choice. I hate SE for doing this but 1/ they're not the only one and 2/ sadly this is what the business is made of. If they think it is worth £40 more we can't (and don't have the right to) stop them from buying it.
I spend hundreds of VIP gigs tickets every year, I'm sure most people think it's not worth it but I don't regret it, even if I'm conscious I'm not helping the problem.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am not trying to bash anyone who DOES want to purchase it. If they feel it is worth the money then by all means go for it, I am just stating that they are basically assuring SE that they are pricing it correctly.
