    Start them at 1.

There will be tins of new players and they will need that surge of vets to help them through the early content.

Perhaps logically 15 makes sense so you don't have hordes of players in the lvl 1 spawn areas taking up new players ability to level.

I just think the proper experience should be 1 to 50.

Why would they need a surge of vets to help them through the early content if it is as you say that a ton of new players will join? If a ton of new players join then they will be helping each other through that content, the vets would merely help bolster that as they have always done and will continue to do. The need for vets to help more so would only be if there was not enough new players to fill the roles helping themselves. Also if they drop your job level to 15 after unlocked it at 30 how do you plan to code the system so that it will not also drop the new players back down 15 levels instead of just the vet players who already had a level 30+ character? If do not differentiate between the two then your not balancing it at all between old and new in terms of how much each contributed to leveling that job.

As it stands right now, we know for fact won't start at level 1.

I can understand you wanting to level the job from level 1 but if the job NPC when unlock at 30 gives you a series of training quests combined with a reasonable amount of skills unlocked through that quest line then your not losing out on anything, you just do the quest line and then go farm lower level dungeons if that is what you want to use to practice with. The low level dungeons are ilvl restricted so it's not like will be overpowered for it and the job quest line training NPC would make sure your not underpowered too. I think people are getting worried and concerned over nothing, I understand the preference for one thing over another but I would like for them to wait and see how it works out before waving the end is nigh banners. SE are perfectly capable of changing it if does not work well but won't know how well it works until try it.

15 or 18 would likely be best
30 is much too late, youll end up with lots of people wiping brayflox and haukke
even more than they do now

Yoshi said in the Famitsu interview that they will not be starting at level 1 and they will begin sort of closer to the end of the level range, but won't be 50.

"I can't say yet what the specific number will be, but it won't be level 1. It will be more on the higher end."

"Sort of closer to the end of the level range" is incorrect. Slycer is doing an awesome job of translating that whole thing, but "end" makes it a little misleading. He just says it will be higher.

I also though it was stated that you needed to be completed with the MSQ as of 2.25?, or I imagining things? ^^

I agree with these sentiments whole heartedly. Its the same reason some other games
added things like being reborn, or the like. Re experiencing leveling up.

You're not. SE sent a correction to a playstation blog interview that pretty much said so.
It was a GDC interview right before PAX. http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/...d-new-details/

Naoki Yoshida: You will have to already own A Realm Reborn, plus complete all of the main story quests up through Patch 2.55. After that, an introductory quest for Heavensward will become available; accepting that quest will then guide you through the gates of Ishgard. All of the job quests related to the new jobs will be in Ishgard as well, so the condition to access those will be the same. If a player had stopped playing around Patch 2.2 or 2.3, it would be best to revisit the A Realm Reborn main story quests to get back into the groove as you head towards Heavensward!

The original translation made it seem as if you could grab the jobs, finish the main quest and then enter Ishgard.
