I need no poll, I'm at GS and see, how many people are still there. A poll here would be pointless, because 90+% of people seldom till never look into forum. You would have what - let it be 200-1000 people. And those won't show an average of the community, especially not the casuals.

You called something that annoys people "fan service" and that people should just ignore it, if they don't like it (what they do). YOUR words. Maybe you should THINK about them before you write.

Square is changing the system, so they see it like me, that Gold Saucer should be a fun place for more than a few people. The would not do this, if they would think like you.

the Jumbo Catcpot rest on 10 numbers you choose 4. 10^4 =10k possibilities, some servers have 15k ppl, so unless you want to split pots, it is a good thing that the policy is 1 ticket per character.

There's no splitting of pots, because there is no pot, just rules about what sort of matches earn what sort of prizes. If multiple people get all four digits right, then multiple people win the 1st prize, just the same as multiple people normally win 4th prize. It's less likely to happen, but the rules work just the same way.

Just cancel the lotteries and let the bunnies throw MGP at people. Would be funny at least. One time per day/week bunnies will throw a random amount of MGP at you. It's the same as now, just funnier.

Actually. I did use the term fan service, but you completely pulled the rest out of your desperate unwillingness to drop your flawed argument. It is not factually annoying like you repeatedly make it out to be.
I stated it takes very little out of your week. And that it literally refunds you for participating. So really, I said 100% the opposite what you think you read. You've stooped from simple sulking, to lying to have your way.

You don't get it, hu? What I said is exactly the same as before, it would just be more funny and honest.

In addition you are arguing against your friends, because they say: it's just vanity, so no one needs it, so just leave it be. Now you come here and talk about BiS gear. What now?

And as last point: the stereotype of a player who wants something for free are those who defend the lottery system, because you are doing exactly NOTHING. When you win you get something for free, for what others needs to play hundreds of hours. YOU want free gifts. Not me.
