    Something like this would be amazing. There's little challenge in anything now outside of Coil and it's been that way for a while. I remember WP's Flan being a DPS check for fresh 50s, but with Keeper of the Lake having an iLvl requirement of 90 when everyone and their mom is already 110+ is just silly. Nothing is challenging about light party dungeons these days and chainpulling + AoEing down a third of a dungeon at a time is only fun for so long.

    I suppose the major concern about implementing something like this would be "but who'd do it". Yeah, a lot of people probably would... for a couple weeks. Then they'd be all but abandoned.

    That's not to say I don't want this. Hell yeah I want this; even the 4-man dungeons get way more interesting when parties barely meet the requirements and have to actually do the fights. But just a thought.

    I don't understand why they didn't restrict the item levels to begin with, and such a drastic change from the base iL too. While it was possible to complete dungeons like Pharos Sirius or Copperbell (Hard) without the purchases from Rowena (at the time, Darklight gear) it wasn't easy. Most parties would struggle until the average iL was 60 or so. Hell I see people still getting wrecked while decked out in 110 gear just because of mechanics.

    If I had a choice in the balance of the game, I would have capped the dungeons a lot lower, with stuff like Pharos Sirius, Copperbell (hard), and Haukke (hard) all being stuck at MAX i70. Also, would lower requirement for entry into the Hard Mode Primal fights cause some of those iLs are ridiculous.

    Apparently everyone else is against ilvl syncing, feeling like there's no point to getting better gear or using materia if your overall strength gets capped for the majority of duties. Then against most are probably speed runners.
