    Triple Triad Card Exchange/Trade

Can we please have this as an option? Like be able to trade in cards we won from NPCs for their "rare" card? Relying on RNG is just utterly annoying and disappointing especially when you spend more than 7 hours trying for the card. Case in point - I've made 40k+ MGP, obtained 58 Livia cards, 52 Rhitahtyn cards, and 20 Nero cards from the Imperial. Still no Gaius card.... it's to the point there is no 'rewarding' experience for when I finally do obtain it.
So can there be an option to trade the imperial say 50 Julia cards or 50 Rhit or 30 Nero in exchange for the Gaius card? The same with the GC NPCs? Like for the Grid NPC 40 Papaylmo & Yda cards or 10 Ramuh cards for Kan-E-Senna? Or at least open up some sort of player to player card trading. Or even make it where their 'rare' card is 100% drop after you win your 100th match versus them?

I think that the main problem with Indolent Imperial and the Gaius card is that it draws your chances of getting that card from a pool of 4 cards, which is rather big considering the low chance of the Gaius card has to drop, so you will be farming him a bit more than any other NPC unless you get lucky from the start. (You can also run Praetorium since it drops from there too, and it seems that the drop rate isn't that bad.)

I don't mind farming the cards from the NPCs since I think that the drop is pretty decent, I just need the Raubahn card and I will have all the cards that you can obtain from NPCs, you just need a little patience, just keep at it. I wouldn't mind having a system like the one you mentioned in the future though, but they might lower the chances of rare cards dropping if they add a system like that in order to compensate. :/

About once a month I used to spend 2 hours in a car in the summer at the closest non-metered parking we could find down the street from a Great Escape comic shop in Nashville, TN with my parents and sister just opening packs of cards. Some times it was Magic the Gathering. Some times it was Marvel Flare. On the rare occasion, it was Mars Attacks! or a Frank Frazetta series of cards. My dad would buy a box or 2, and we would just open packs of cards. It was pretty exciting if we found a rare card. Keep in mind, we opened a LOT of packs, and we did this pretty often, and there were still cards were never found.

Part of the excitement of collecting cards is some are just rare and hard to get. If anything, RNG makes it pretty easy to get a card compared to one that is intended to be rare. Cards are not something everyone is intended to have a complete set of. Why do you think cards like a first edition Black Lotus in MTG is worth thousands of dollars? Why do you think Rookie Cards in sports cards can fetch high prices? It a collectors experience. If anything, when it comes to trading, I'm disappointed that I can't stack the same card in my collection. If I have 3 Bartz, I would love to be able to trade those to someone with Lightning. However, being upset over not being able to get a card due to RNGesus says you didn't do a lot of card collecting as a kid. Or that your mom never got mad because your dad went back to get a 3rd box of card after an hour of nothing good.

Late reply but I agree with you Red that having a random of 4 different cards drop to you can alter the % you obtain some. Still tho a trade in wouldn't be a bad idea or affect the game play of TT. They could have easily made it a reward like in FF9 Tetra Master where you can pick your winning card from the ones you flipped or if you flipped the whole board you get all their cards but they didn't. Trade in wouldn't be an easy ticket either because it would still require 1) The person to obtain the # of cards to trade in and 2) The person would have to have the skills to beat the NPC.
As for the whole going to the store and buying packs of cards in hope of a rare card the thing they already have in the game. Those are called booster packs. Just as in real life you go out work some hours get $$, then you go and splurge on however many packs of cards you want. And then you hope for the % chance that one of those limited printed cards is in your pack. So that yes is fine, go out farm MGP and buy those booster packs in hopes of a rare card. Since you can buy as many as you want as long as you have the MGP. A NPC card match, however, is like going to a trade/tourny and there is a guy there saying "Hey I have these cards I'm handing out for people who beat me in matches. I'll give them out randomly if you win a match against me" So you go and play that person for two hours and he's given you all but one card. You take a 15 minute break. Play him for another hour and still he doesn't hand it over to you but continues to give you cards you already have now. Then you take a break again and watch someone else come up and play him and after 5 wins he gives them the card you have been after. You play him again and still nothing. That's pretty much what the NPC's are like. However wouldn't it be nice if he also said "For this card I'll accept x # of these cards you have won from me." or "If you beat me 100 times then i'll give you this card?" Or would you rather sit there and keep playing him for multiple cards you can't use for hours on end in hopes he finally gives you the card while you know others can get it in less than 30 minutes or so?
Basically it's an alternative to acquire the card, it doesn't gimp the game either. Since having that method is like I've stated earlier the person has to have the skill to beat the NPC and also you'd still need to put in effort to acquire the cards needed to trade. Who knows you can get lucky and get the rare card while farming the cards to trade in. But I just saw in the other news feed over the 3.0 prices and contents that they mentioned next patch they are going to gimp NPC difficulty. I never found any of the NPC's "difficult" even the two with Random rule. Yes they are all challenging but if you play them enough you learn their card decks they can use and as well as where they will place their cards so you can always form a strategy to fit that.

Was just an idea to add to the thing. I know personally with many of the players I've talked with this was something that would have been something nice to add. And agreed they'd be fine with grinding the NPC if they knew they could have a turn in than just blindly spending hours grinding in a blind hope it will drop.
