PC or PS4 controller for typing?

Which is best for typing? I was wondering because there maybe a time when I'm in a dungeon.

There are keyboards out there for the console, but I just like using the ps4 controller. The only time I do typing is when I'm away from danger and not being attacked. In dungeon areas, I don't think I'm quick enough to respond to messages using the controller.

At the moment, I don't have the pc version installed yet.

I use a standard USB keyboard for my PS3 build, makes the chat box usable lol

Any usb keyboard will work on the PS4(might have some issue with wireless). Unlike the PS3 there is no in house controller with built in Keyboard, but the PS3 controller should work minus the key specific buttons... In fact I came to the same conclusion about needing/using a KB for chat as well.

I use a wireless Logitech keyboard/mouse combo on my PS4 and love it!

I use a keyboard and mouse. I for a short time played without, on my ps3, but I couldn't wait to get it. I use the same keyboard now on my ps4.

I'm on pc and using a microsoft (wired xbox) controler. You need a keyboard as there will be plenty you need to say to your team mates during dungeons and raids and navigating options and menus would be too fidgety for me without a mouse so, my advice.. play on pc!

I play with controller, use a keyboard for shortkeys and chat, and a mouse to move around windows

I use a USB Mouse/Keyboard setup for my PS4 copy of the game, it's more convenient for both quick reflexes on skills and messaging becomes easier, especially if it's during a tight situation in a run and I need to say something fast and keep up my healing. If you plan to talk to people a lot either in groups or friends/Free Company, I would go with a USB Keyboard.

On PS3, I use controller for everything except chat, I got a wireless keyboard as well. Typing in anything is too slow without it.
When I was on PC I used pretty much the same set-up, controller and keyboard, with my mouse here and there. I was hoping for the same when I upgrade.

I also recommend getting yourself a USB keyboard. Nice wired ones are really inexpensive, too.

Actually, I do have a bluetooth keypad that is attached to the ps4 controller and hoping that goes ok for the 2nd time (it stopped working after a while the first time I used it).
There was one dungeon where the players weren't impressed with my tanking (I ended up quitting that dungeon), even though I tanked many times already, and another where I lost my sense of direction.
