Error 2002

I could play this morning, didn't reset or close my computer as per my habits, now i get this error that i never got before, data center are ok, leviathan is running, i see no post about a similar error
so what's the deal?

i can go trough the launcher fine, the game load up to the main menu but hitting the start button to get to my character selection is stoped by 20 sec wait time and a "the lobby server connection has encountered an error" error 2002

good thing it's clear on the launcher, maintenance on march 14 > check bottom right, were the 15, all good.... make it clear SQENIX, if the maintenance hit trough the next day for any timezone(in this case it's the north-American data center) state "14-15".... i live on -5 so this maintenance started on the 15th

SE is the absolute worst at networking in the MMO genre. They already have a previous MMO with over a decade of experience to draw from and some of the best minds in IT. Yet, they still can't keep their players connected to the game any better than a Korean FTP. Get your %$#@ together SE.

They scheduled maintenance because they thought people would be able to get back in. It seems like the DC's were expected but the lobby errors weren't. FC mate on TS told me that it still shows I'm in Stone Vigil so sounds like those getting DC'd aren't getting fully booted.

SE is the best at choosing an appropriate time for maintenance. Lets choose a time that the most people will be trying to play the game and take it offline. Good job SE, not your brightest move... I'm sure it wont be your worst, though.

Me too. I got booted upon leaving a dungeon and now I keep getting this error. I've been trying over an hour now.

It wouldn't be quite so bad if the client didn't crash so I had to restart the game each ruddy time:P
