    My Router at home often refresh IP so I oftenly have to change my password, I always get Email and link and then do the change everytimes. However, this time I notice that i haven't gotten any Email to reset my password, so what should I do ?

    You may want to look at getting a security key for those one-off codes. Having these bypasses the IP-checking system.

    You can order then from SE or, if you bought the collector's edition, you should already have one.

    In the interim, I'd contact SE support from the SE account management system website.

    I got the Email now, it was just so much delay like an hour or something, it was scary. ^^;

    As For security Token, I really not like it. I already have friends report me of bad news about that already. First person lose it and had to re-order from SE, he said it took very long time to get, so he has to take long break from game. Second person has it broken and quit the game. Third person has it run out of battery quicker than expected (only used for 6 months) and also quit.

    My FFXI token is still going strong since I first got it and I just leave it in front of my PC - won't ever lose it.

    I've heard mixed storied about the token. I have one, but haven't used it out of a lack of need such as this.

    But every story helps.

    I have a question, 1 why is your router renewing IPs daily and 2 is the router an all in one modem and router or do you have a separate modem and router?

    why is your router renewing IPs daily
    This is quite common among many ISPs. These providers require a dynamic IP address be used. This is to prevent the customer trying to run major business operations that require a static IP address such as server management off a simple residential internet connection (they want them to take out the more expensive business account option). Thus, a new IP address is assigned whenever a new connection is established, which will happen on dropout/re-connection or modem-powercycle.

    If the internet drops daily, this may be a sign of poor noise margins on the copper line (presuming ADSL) or other tolerance levels among personal equipment. If this is happening inconveniently frequently, contact your ISP so as to diagnose an issue/fault and/or request stability.

    Dynamic IPs are also to protect privacy by making the connection harder to trace. And about the security token... it's almost like SE wants to force us to use them. There's only trouble if you dont own one of these :/

    Well not sure which ISPs have made this change but I know Comcast and Verizon do not. I always have the same IP assigned by my Linksys to my PC and assigned from my ISP to my router.

    Yes noise and or signal loss through degrigated lines or a poor SNR all kinds of external non-consumer issues can occur. (Was a line tech for 3 years for Charter and Comcast) but if it's only related to FFXIV, there something else occuring. If all other online experiences and online games don't have this issue, you will need to reevaluate.
