Blame Squeenix for why we all play as Miqo'te

Personally, I like being a lalafell because they're cute and there's a fair amount of them in Cactuar/Aether Data Center, however...I remember looking at the pie charts and I'm kinda surprised that we slightly only out-populate Elezen. Granted, most players have a Hyur (this is usually typical or most are bots) and Miqo'te which are very abundant, both Catgirls and Catboys.

Each to their own, play what you want to play as! Don't let others stop you.

EDIT: Actually that makes a lot of sense, I know people from this game and even in other MMOs make characters as an extension of themselves as well as what you said.

Most people play Hyur for the simple fact that it's easier to identify yourself with a human than with a fantasy race.

Lots of people make their characters to identify themselves in-game. Many even strive to make them look like their real life self.

I did the same thing. I tried every race just to see if anything "fit" better than my 1.0 original version. But the thing is, played my original version so much, it is the only version that feels right.

Playing Lala was my second favorite...

Next would be midlanders....I played her about a month before I gave into missing my tail.

I played a Femroe for about a week... being huge didn't suit me.

I've played Kos (Kosmos) for nearly 5 years now. She started life in White Knight Chronicles where she also receieved her Nekomimis, has been through several iterations, but is always a kitty at heart. Even though she was inspired by KOS-MOS, Kosmos (aka Kos) has moved on and embraced her feline nature. Nekomimis For The Win!

That said, I'm neither female, nor feline, but Kosmos is me in Eorzea, she has my personality, I am who I am regardless of my external form...

You initiated a personal attack. Say what you want about us Miqo'te (it stings a little but we can endure it). But there is no need to start suggesting that something is wrong with me or that I am into furry. What I like about the Miqo'te is their versatility. Can they be sexy? Sure. Can they be playful? Of course. Can they be serious. You bet. They have alot of appeal and Squeenix should have made more races that are appealing rather than cliche / niche stereotypes. I don't look at people who play lalaful as pedophiles. But if you show someone who doesn't play RPGs that you play lala and they see that you are a big grown man irl they might start to wonder about you. That is societies and the media's fault though.

Well, if we count the "most I seen", I can say that most characters I see around Revenant's Toll are Hyur. Female, BTW

Male Hyur seems to be the default that's selected at the character creation screen, so it would make sense that most bots are male Hyur. There's no need to customize if you're just making characters to be warm bodies. The point I was making is that all of those aren't necessarily actual players. *shrug*

Well, do we know about how the census data was actually collected? They might be controlling for bot populations, etc.

I find this argument rather bizarre if in reference to Miqo'te, who are really just humans with cat features and tails. Or Elezen, who are tall humans with pointy ears.
To be honest, I find Miqo'te more relatable than the dead-eyed porcelain Midlanders. Sorry Midlanders, you know it's true. >.>
