Why can boss fights be started while first-timers are watching the cutscene?

All of them do end up there. They are just in different spots.

But side note. I never watched cutscenes because I was told that I needed to in Castrum and Prae. Going back to the inn was an inconvenience. So when I went with an FC mate to prae for the first time I turned cutscenes back on. The dungeon actually makes sense now. Before it was just oh hey Ultima... Hey Ultima again... Where did lahabrea come from.

Yeah, everyone knows already. It's also not a reasonable expectation to tell every player who's ever new to an instance SCREW YOUR CS SPEEDRUN GO GO GO. People need to calm the hell down.

I was taking a friend through T1 today who hadn't touched any of the coils yet. She wanted to watch the cutscenes so I just stood there with her while she did so. Party rushed ahead and fought ADS with only 2 DPS (I was monk, she was a bard). They wiped while she was in CS, much to my amusement. When we tried with all 8 of us, we breezed through it no prob. First wipe was also due to the other 2 dps apparently being totally fresh without having watched or read anything on it too, but point is that the less than 5m it takes for someone to watch a short scene is not going to kill your entire day.
