    Swift makes me angry

On so many levels. Mechanics like this aren't very fun game play.

    1. Timed window to play him. Seriously never make another window NPC for TT, please.

    2. Chaos rule. Love not having control of my deck or any real opportunity for strategy. Might as well blindfold myself since its all blind luck, which might be ok IF IT WASN'T A TIMED WINDOW TO PLAY HIM.

    3. Even with a 3 star deck his cards can simply bruteforce you 9/10 because of the chaos rule not giving you any real chance to lay your cards in any useful order. Also with a 3 star deck your cards are still crappier than his by a fair margin.

Any useful strats or advice in dealing with almost completely randomized dumb luck are welcome.

Took me a while to figure things out with this guy however once i did ive put a deck together that granted me over 50% winrate each window up to 12W/4L/3D. Its doable just have learn his cards and adjust yours and try play around his cards. I dont have that deck saved i remember having some of the Scions/Hilidibrand and Garuda if that is any help.

So to beat him, you need a 3 star deck? Well I guess I can wait to get to 60. Only 15 cards way. Although Chaos is not as bad as random. That's just worse. You can play your cards in any order, but your cards delt are usually inferior.

I usually create decks per NPC when trying to catch their cards. I try to learn what they play and what card I can counter with. Once I got that, I create my deck and use it until I get the cards I'm looking for. I have made sets for Sezul Totoloc, King Elmer, any Order user, any Ascension & Descension user. Once I beat them, I replace them with whatever NPC is next on my list to farm. With Chaos, I just use my best cards 1st and adjust to see if another card would be better in the current situation. With Random, just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

You can beat him before, but it's pretty much luck. It's good for the "beat 30 NPC" achievement, but not for farming him for his rare cards. Of course you still can do/try.

    I got mine using a 2* deck.

Kan-E-Senna, Rhitathyn sas Arvina, Blue Dragon, Biggs & Wedge, Gerolt.

To minimise the impact of Chaos, best option I find is to generally have cards that have at least a strong left and/or bottom. Most of Swift's card are strong left/bottom, but weak/top/right.

play the board from right to left, and just try to keep taking cards as you go. Play aggressively, and smart, like Juniglee said, his cards have terrible rights and tops, this minimizes how much he can take of yours.

As someone said, learn his cards and number sides. Then form a deck for his weak sides, and bait his good sides. I still hate Swift, even after getting all his cards. Win rate is always nearly 50% I think, no strategy because of Chaos. Even with a 3star deck he can wreck you because of that lovely Shiva card that you can only defend against 1 side, and flipped by all others.

Thanks for the thread link, glad to see I'm not alone here.

I beat him the first time with my 2 star deck but now that he's the only NPC left for me to farm a drop from other than Imperial (500~ wins and tens of thousands of MGP later and no Gaius yet), I can't seem to beat him with any reasonable reliability and he's proving to be the worst. I'll adjust my deck to the weak top/right strategy and give it a try, thanks for the suggestions.

hell probaly be nerfed on 2.55 since they will be making some adjustments on "certain" npcs since they were to powerful. i bet swift is on top of that list. heck even farming rowena with random is easier since atleast you can spam play her and also she only drops 2 cards and its only a 4 star card from her. while swift has 5 star dropchance with all that other crap on top. totally overtuned. the other 2 faction npcs are a joke compared to him.
