More graphic options would be really nice so we can customize it according to our hardware and likes. I support this.

DoF - sure, if we can turn it on/off
Bloom - Nah. It's good in the places where it is already (mor dhona, long-distance crystal structures), but the PS2 era made me hate bloom and i still do.
Depth of Field is one of those things that i really don't mind not having in videogames. Maybe it's just because my vision sucks in real life, but I really do enjoy being able to see things far away, and I hate when they overdo the effect and everything is just blurry and ugly.

Only if it's an optional setting for those who want it, I despise both effects.

Bloom back in 1.0 was a bane of White Mage's existence :x and as a WHM I can say I did not care for it lol
I don't mind if they bring it back as a option you can turn on/off, but yeah I dont want ^ this back lol it washes out your character and removes any detail on your white gear.

				DEFINITELY YES, PLEASE.
I don't think either of those would hurt anyone if they were added as optional effects to be enabled or disabled. Surely SE could tweak their strength, or even give us options to pick from (light-normal-strong, or some such). Any sort of additional customisation is great, imo, and frankly - getting into ARR the first few times, I was very much taken aback by the raw/stark/burnt-out graphics in general. At least, that's how it felt to me after 1.x... sometimes I still find it very weird, tbh.

PS3 limitations. Please look forward to it.
For PC users we can use Sweetfx to realy help the game look better.
It has lots of bloom options and so much more. I don't remember messing with any DoF stuff though..
On a personal note, all the footage they have been showing is SO GRAY it is driving me nuts. It is like they have this amazing coloring and then throw a gray haze over the top.

This video can help you get started and also goes into showing that a rep has already said it is just fine to use if you are worried about that.

If you have time I think it is worth wile to go in and change things to your own liking. There are SO many options to play with. Just remember you have to close and re-open the game to see changes you make.
This site can also help you come up with settings you may like.

Edit: The reason I am putting this here is it is a nice idea to have the option added into the game itself but it may never happen. With this at least you have some kind of control.

You're just making the colours look extra saturated.
As for the trailers, it's likely due to the codec they encoded the video with. A lot of the whites/blacks were getting crushed even in the recently released zone tour video, probably limited RGB as well which brings all the deep blacks up to a dark grey instead, assuming their wasn't an issue in maintaining the gamma level.
