Suggestion for future DX11 graphics features: Can we get Bloom & unsharp effect back?

As Yoshi stated that they are going to add more features for DX11 Version of the game.
One i mostly wish that they are going to implement back into the game was the decent bloom and unsharp effect in FFXIV.

As everything that was in the distance was slightly unsharp and the atmosphere and the characters had some kind of bloom effect.

I Also wished if they could improve the weather effects since they are very cartoonish since ARR.

    Cause this:
    Bloom/unsharp effect

    Looks more brillant/realistic than this:

and making the grass less grainy like in 1.0. would be also cool ;X

I wouldn't mind the soften/blur thingy on distant objects and landmarks, but depth of field usually does more harm than good. Can be okay in cut-scenes, but it's almost always done badly and makes the game just look worse. That bloom just makes the characters shine strangely for no reason.

Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.

The bloom was terrible in 1.0. Too much exposure, and anything remotely white/yellow glowed like a halo.

As for the depth of field, ARR already has it. It's just limited to cutscenes. That and 1.0 recommended you had DoF on because it helped hide the engine's terrible LoD clipping. I wouldn't mind it if they had a little more flair to the cinematography in the expansion cutscenes, and some high contrast lighting to emphasize the normal maps, rather than the general muted lighting we get a lot of in ARR that makes things look kinda flat.

I just want motion capture back... enough of those pre-coded emotes!

I've just finished 2.4 and the only motion capture I have noticed is when Haurchefant stands up from his chair to walk around the table.... A whooping 8 seconds mo-cap in a whole patch of MSQ cutscenes.

I wouldn't mind having DOF during actual gameplay, especially if we had some control over it's strength.

This example is edited of course (with strong DOF) but it really adds subtle atmosphere. It's one of those things i've personally wanted for some time (that and better lighting)

More graphic options would be really nice so we can customize it according to our hardware and likes. I support this.

DoF - sure, if we can turn it on/off

Bloom - Nah. It's good in the places where it is already (mor dhona, long-distance crystal structures), but the PS2 era made me hate bloom and i still do.

Depth of Field is one of those things that i really don't mind not having in videogames. Maybe it's just because my vision sucks in real life, but I really do enjoy being able to see things far away, and I hate when they overdo the effect and everything is just blurry and ugly.

Only if it's an optional setting for those who want it, I despise both effects.

Bloom back in 1.0 was a bane of White Mage's existence :x and as a WHM I can say I did not care for it lol

I don't mind if they bring it back as a option you can turn on/off, but yeah I dont want ^ this back lol it washes out your character and removes any detail on your white gear.

    DEFINITELY YES, PLEASE.

I don't think either of those would hurt anyone if they were added as optional effects to be enabled or disabled. Surely SE could tweak their strength, or even give us options to pick from (light-normal-strong, or some such). Any sort of additional customisation is great, imo, and frankly - getting into ARR the first few times, I was very much taken aback by the raw/stark/burnt-out graphics in general. At least, that's how it felt to me after 1.x... sometimes I still find it very weird, tbh.
