Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

Only Place I know to farm Dodore Wings #AVFTW
It's just long and boring to me. Even worse with undergeared dps. That first room is the main problem IMHO. Feels like you aren't progressing at all till you hit the first boss.
I just tanked AV for the first time yesterday, only 1 wipe in the first big room because of a frog link with 4 other mobs, but after that it went really smooth. I was warrior lvl 47. Even the bosses I was able to avoid the aoe's, even the very last boss, the dps had no trouble getting the eggs down. Everything went really smooth, except I could barely keep the hate off the archer, but he had like ilvl 100+ gear on.
I end up running it again today to level again. The 2nd pull with the frog, carefully to avoid links, the whm just stands in its aoe. Revives and takes some time before he ran back. Next pull whm pulls the frog, in the middle of link's and I'm like wtf. We wipe again. Then healer yell's at me to "Pull like a ??? tank.
I ended up leaving the instance. It sux cause the run I did before that went really smooth. I did check the healer, and he had all I 130 gear on, one of those elite people
I'm afraid whats going to happen once I hit lvl 50, when i'll be around ilvl 50 warrior up against people who around ilvl 100.

The pulls in that place are dangerous, you can face pull and wipe on just about every enemy, that's where the hate comes from. But, after I started opening with a single statement, I've had 0 wipes in there.
I always open up, no matter what, even full pre-made, with:
I will be pulling every mob, if you cannot wait you attack while I am still pulling, or you facepull before I get in position, I will stand here and let you die.
Ever since I've started opening with that, people wait, I've had 0 face pulls, 0 wipes, all because I have learned how to handle those pulls, including letting someone die.

Regarding level, I think Heavensward will ameliorate things a little, if only because of the higher level cap. And even Ironworks stuff will eventually o the same way of ilvl 90/100 stuff, as soon as the dev team introduces the next substitute.I ended up leaving the instance. From my point of view, you did well considering the situation you were in. That WHM sounds like they had some issues of their own, and relied too much on others to compensate for their mistakes.
Sack pulling goes against my healing primed nature - but omg AV is so much better with sack pulls and sneaking past enemies.

One of my favourite Dungeons in Game. I call it the "Real Deal" why?
- Need a patient Tank and a good healer.
- Full party coordination and involvement.
- Synced Level iL49.
Many will chicken out Levelin 47-50 so they do Coerthas FATEs, then OP in all iLv.50 Dungeons/Raids. A true Player will do AV with a smile.
Luckly it didn't get nerfed like other Lv.50 content. I hope we get a Lv.56 AV (HARD) that will be no less of the Normal one.
The Devs have said we will most likely not be seeing any HM versions of AV or Dzemael Darkhold unless there's some huge community outcry for them. Something about the tools they used to create the 2.xx dungeons (tools they did not have back in 1.xx when AV was created) allows them to reuse assets and create Hard Mode versions much cheaper and faster. So to make Aurvum Vale (Hard) would require the same amount of work as creating an entire new instance from scratch.
