There's rarely a situation where the Healer's DPS'ing makes a difference, since you're not contributing 25% of the DPS, you're contributing maybe 3% at most.

I know I'm totally taking this one line outta context, but...

That's the final group of trash in Keeper of the Lake (two separate packs)

With that being said, my contribution to the thread is this:

Have the situational awareness to make the right decisions

• Overgeared out the butt tank and DPS? Go nuts with DPS, you're just making it faster.
• Incredibly squishy tank? Prepare thy medical skills for the onslaught!
• Incredibly squishy tank AND overgeared DPS? Welp, you're gonna be doing a lot of healing on a lot of the party.

This is what makes the exceptional healers exceptional. They understand the group dynamic and know how to work their magic (har har) around it.
