Pet Hotbar Display not working as intended in some situations

OK I'll try once more since the previous bug was moved to "Insufficient Information" but I can't reply/edit that one anymore, so I have no choice but to re-enter it again.

Time: When interacting with an NPC offering contextual actions
Frequency: Always
World name: Ragnarok
Character name: Spartan Krieger
NPC name: N/A (e.g: "Berta" in the Stone Vigil)
Monster name: N/A
Class/Level: N/A
Party or solo: N/A
In-game time: N/A
Area and coordinates: User Interface Display
Steps:
1. Select "Controller" as control method
2. Select "Use pet hotbar" checkbox in Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > "Cross" tab:



3. Deselect the "Display" checkbox in Character Configuration > Hotbar Settings > "Display" tab > Horizontal type options > Pet Hotbar:



4. The "Pet hotbar" will not appear anymore, but for the following situations, both the XHB and Hotbar will be displayed on screen at the same time:
(a) when you pick up an object to carry (e.g: some Beast Tribe quests)
(b) When using Magiteck emotes (cannons and machine guns in the Praetorium dungeon).
(c) when you activate weapon objects ("Berta" cannons in Stone Vigil Hard Mode during the 2nd boss):




For the above actions, user will always have another "pet bar" in the middle of the screen, which is quite annoying as the icons in the XHB are enough.

Please also note that the pet bar for SCH or SMN appears only on the XHB, so this only affects interactive objects I suppose.

I found this was mentioned in the past but was deemed as "Not A Bug" (last post in this thread):

If this is a case then I would ask to reconsider changing how this works as it doesn't look very polished from a UID perspective.

It happens in the "Time of my Life" GATE in the Gold Saucer, too. You get an extra bar with all the emotes that's smack bang in the middle of the screen. I've moved it out of the way to the too of the screen so it doesn't block my view of the dancers anymore, but I'm really confused as to why it's even there in the first place. It's in the "pet bar" space of the HUD even though it isn't an actual pet bar, and it's doubled up anyway.
