Machnist sounds a tad confusing. Is it going to be another BRD as in a support/DPS hybrid? Sounds like the job will be on the same DPS numbers as BRD....-so far-. I hope they do the kind of DPS a BLM/SMN would and just not reading it correctly.

Probably not.

The way itll work is, youll be able to party with people who play as the new jobs and the new race, but until you pay for the expansion you wont be able to become an Au Ra.

Anything offered in the expansion you can look at, but not touch. If you do not buy the expansion, you cannot choose Au Ra as a race, cannot access any content and areas provided by the expansion, and cannot use the new jobs.

Hm. Part of me wonders if the AST "deck" cloud be modified in some ways, i.e. Arranging the cards so they are drawn in such and such an order. I do like the idea of mild RNG that doesn't detriment you too much if you get the worst end of it.

With the Dark Knight, we are going to have those players to use MP to use Darkness powers. Not just for casting, but the Dark Knight can use dark powers to create an aura that would act as a buff. You would have to manage your MP to keep that buff on you or you can use the MP for Area Effect Direct Damage (AEDD).
