There are quite a few differences between WHM and SCH. In a group with both healers, the WHM will generally heal the entire group, as they excel at AoE healing, whereas the SCH will focus on the main tank and mitigation for the group. The SCH will also be the one who is expected to DPS when healing is not too intensive. This is because SCHs DoTs will keep their cleric stance potency, and are a lot more mana efficient than having your WHM spam Holy. For this reason, some SCHs may also consider accuracy as an important stat.

Levelling a healer in this game is a little too simple, you'll find that post 50 content is where you'll really start learning how to play your job. SCH may have a lot going on, but both healer roles have an incredibly high skill ceiling.

A few tips! If you play ACN, keep your pet on obey at all times. Spend a few hours learning how to micro-manage your pet, it'll save you trouble further down the line when you see your healing fairy use all her CDs when you don't need them! Also, try DPSing in dungeons when you know that your party can survive for the next 20 seconds or so.Not only does it make things quicker, but it'll get you more comfortable with stance dancing. And finally, level THM to 26. Swiftcast + Resurrection is definitely a necessity.
