As the thread says, just another interview regarding heavensward.
However I think this is the first that actually talks about Astrologian and Machinist...That I know of anyway.

Pretty much. It gives us more info on Astrologian but I think we already knew about the attachments for Machninist ^^
Tells us Astrologian will draw cards from its deck (randomly?) and can either use it or hold onto it and combine it with another card, maybe like Ninja's mudra system but random and no failure involved or it implies 'hold on' meaning it will be a cool down for every card you pick. Interesting!
here come the Yu-gi-oh destiny draw to summon Exodia or Blackluster SoldierThis class has the capability to drastically change your current stance. This class has the ability to draw cards and depending on what card you get you can buff your allies or support your party members.
What we didn't know about Machinist was the "targetting different body parts" thing, though I know it's offered just as a "maybe think about this used to work" thing. Interesting stuff. Thanks OP.
Oh god Astrologian may have RNG elements.
I'm sorry, White Mage, I've loved you to pieces but give me the duel disk I'm ready to pray to the heart of the cards.
Standing around whilst your static is fighting a boss in Alexander and you're all like "I promise I can buff you guys, just need to pray to rng... wait nope this card wont work either"
Don't get too excited about this one; I doubt it indicates a return to stuff like "target the head to break off the horn". It will probably be more like The "Aim" skills in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. "Aim: Legs", for instance, would inflict Bind on the target, rooting them in place, while Aim: Arms would inflict Disable (cannot use actions); in this game, I'd guess "Aim: Arms" would inflict Pacification instead.
I wouldn't be too worried about this one. SE was pretty smart about it when they added RNG elements with the COR job in FFXI. Basically, the RNG there generally meant: If you roll badly, you get a good buff. If you roll well, you get an AWESOME buff. AST will likely be the same way, if RNG is involved.

Everything about that sounds totally fine to me.Don't get too excited about this one; I doubt it indicates a return to stuff like "target the head to break off the horn". Honestly, after 5 years, I'm just happy to be getting guns. I was fully prepared for a gun-wielding healer class, so that it's a DD is extra nice. Turrets? Awesome. Attachments? Cool. Honestly everything beyond "hey here's your gun back sorry about that cutscene back in 2010" is gravy to me.
