Title Typo!!! Supposed to be Ishgard




Before the Fall - Part 2 is still coming and people seem to have forgotten about it. As per the Screenshot it will contain more main scenario quests and will also have the Battle of Ishgard. What that battle will entail, I'm not entirely sure but I remember the final days of 1.0 where all hell broke loose. Yoshi-P said the end of 2.0 will be on the same scale as the end of 1.0 and when comparing it to 1.0 I can imagine Eorzea being overrun by Dragons. If you werent there for the end of 1.0 I'll post some screenshots. See if you recognize some of the places. It was such an exciting time and player created events ended up in the in-game lore. I squeed when I saw reference to "The Great Gobbue Wall" not to mention the endless waves of forces we fought in Carteneau. I was there for those with my 1.0 Chr. There was also the praying at the shrines that earned you a unique set of earrings(?), Atomos terrorizing areas, and Garlean airships patrolling the skies. It was an experience and a half! I seem to recall reading somewhere that there might be some setup at the end of 2.0 to make the FC Summoning thing make sense within the lore of the realm.

I still think there will be some really fun end of the patch content coming. If this patch was big enough to have a Part 2 to it instead of just 2.55 we are in for some fun. There is still nothing released about this and the button on the official Before the Fall website is still greyed out, instead they are diverting attention to the Heavensward stuff. I'm looking forward to it since it should be coming near the end of the month!

Does anyone else have any ideas, information, or theories as to what the Battle of Ishgard is? I also find it interesting it is called the "Battle of" and not the "Battle for". Is this intentional or translation differences? Hope SE will shed a little light on it soon!

Potentially a Prologue to Heavensward that won't be needed to complete in order to do expansion but rather a nice tease/incentive for getting content done to get a little bit of added story for those who have completed all of the 2.0 Scenario.

Yeah, my best guess is that it's a teaser event that will lead up to the expansion. Only to be experienced by those playing at the time.

Perhaps a dungeon in Ishgard fighting dragons, all so SE can say "This is what is coming.... stay tuned in Heavensward."

I'm actually kinda surprised there has been no mention of P2.5 Part 2 aside from the pic in the OP

It is the final part of 2.X Main Scenario where the WoL will defend Ishgard against the Dragon army.

The 2.5 Trailer showed parts of the Battle of Ishgard Main Scenario. You'll see Lady Ice Heart and a certain Black Armored Elezen Dragoon character (If you played Dragoon Job Quest you'll know who he is) in that part of the trailer.

This all leads to the Coup d'etat in Ul'dah where Teledji finally makes his move to take over Ul'dah and a Traitor among the Crystal Brave is revealed. The trailer seem to hint that he may succeed with the Coup and force the WoL into hiding.
