Let's spice up your dungeon run

So many people seem to think dungeons are boring and terrible, etc. whatever. Maybe you just need a different way of looking at a dungeon run!

Here are a few ways to spice it up!*

-Play with friends: this is almost too obvious, but playing with a group of friends sometimes allows for silly things to happen. For instance, I really don't feel bad if I heal-pull aggro off my friend and tank stuff myself. Hilarity ensues.

-Turn off the UI: how well DO you know your rotation? I've been doing this to alleviate the boredom/tedium of primal fights (I don't like them, and this makes farming them much more interesting). For healers this is super-extra hard mode.

-Same job run: Four of the same job. Try out a an all-BLM run. How well will four WHM do in a dungeon? Time to find out.

-Premade speedrun party: only for premades. How fast can the same four people run a dungeon? Can you do it under ten minutes? DF doesn't count with this one, MUST be the same four people on the same jobs every time!

-No job run: Take off your soul stones and head into those hard modes.

Take off as much gear as you can. See how low you can get your ilvl to be after entering and come out without a death!

Better idea: Have a secret version of Sastasha HM that only happens on like a 1 in 256 chance. In that version, the cavern has been turned into a club. There would be colibri mobs called Painted Whoribri, that are wearing way too much blush and eye shadow and have a crude set of lips drawn onto the end of their beaks with lipstick, while wearing fishnets/garters that are fitted on their wings instead of their legs. There would be giant crabs holding onto poles and swinging around through the air on them, and the barnacles that let out bubbles would be flashing neon colors while a slight techno thread weaved into the background of the dungeon music. Exploding a bubble makes everything act like Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy.

My favourite game is "True Gladiators". See how far through Halatali HM you can go without the healer using a single heal. If you wipe you must abandon the dungeon and start again :P

Me and three friends pretty much did that. We did a beach bum ex roulette run XD Normal gear... but with actual level 1 swimsuits on. And barefoot or sandals. (Our healer needed to glamour one of the left-side pieces in order to meet the ilvl requirement, but the rest of us wore actual level 1 chest and legs. Plus around level 10 footwear.)

It was surprisingly fun and exciting ^^ Needing to limit pulls to three or four enemies, and even then needing to use cooldowns... So much nostalgia back to the days when having good gear wasn't a given XD
