Character creation restriction still closed

Wanting to make an alt, I've been watching the character restriction news for our server. It was closed all this week and the past, lifted today but I still can't make a new character on Excalibur. Does this take some time to update on the lobby after Lodestone says Excalibur is open? Or is it already closed again?

In the meantime my blood boils whenever I get RMT spam thinking they can be here and have all sorts of character while I, and I'm sure many others, can't.

Try in the early mornings around 5-7am EST, it's when the server is least populated. Other than that, right before and right after a maintenance the server is usually open.

I have been trying to also. I had a brother start his Legacy back on. He hasn't played since 1.xx went down. I wanted to help him. but still cannot make a character here, even though it says it's open

Make sure you shout against endgame sellers. That is a huge market that supports RMT. Nobody can afford that unless they are buying gil. Plus pass this message along to have other people shout their disagreement towards selling endgame content.
