I personally love highlanders, both female and male. Here's mine:

I also enjoy thighlanders.

I wonder if Shadowbringers will bring eyebrows to male Highlanders... Eyebrowbringers
99.6% of all Highlander males are attractive because 99.6% of people who play them use the face / facial hair combo that looks damn good. Scruffy badass!

These are the two I feel best about! I've found there are basically a few approaches that help a lot with making handsome male highlanders, at least for me.
First, important to remember they don't have eyebrows. There are a few ways to navigate this and come out with a face that still looks legit if you don't have access to mods. One is to use the face paint eyebrows in a way that they're either partially masked by hair, use high contrast so you can't notice it's paint rather than hair, or make the paint black and just try to balance against hair and skin color in a way that looks as legitimate as possible. I tend not to go this direction but I've seen it work a few times.
Second, use face paint around the eyes to create definition around the brow ridge or mask that there isn't any. The gray and red highlander I did that approach, although I understand most people might not want to use as bright colors as I do. Plain black or gray face paint just looks like shadow!
Third option is easiest, just use a hair that falls partly over the brow line. This just balances the face out and draws attention away from the brows I think, so the space no longer looks confusingly blank. Did that with the black haired highlander.
Next thing I think can pose a little bit of a challenge is jaw proportion. Depending on what features you pick for the rest of the face, a clean shaven male highlander's jaw might end up looking confusingly big by comparison. If you build features at the start around the smallest jaw option (which will still be big lol) you can generally manage fine I think. But the other option, which looks great IMO, is to just use facial hair to your advantage! Three of the four highlander face options IMO work very well with facial hair. The fourth is the default highlander face in character creator, which I frankly consider a lost cause.
Large irises are also important here because your highlander will look like a probable serial killer with small ones lol.
Female highlanders I think are much easier tbh, but just gotta keep in mind the look you're going for. There's a wide-eyed, 'cute' highlander girl face with blushed lips. That's the one I used for the white-haired design above. The black-haired girl I just tried to balance the features and make the eyes look wide. There's one face (I think it's the bottom right option in character creator) that IIRC used very thin eyebrows, and I found that those features looked much better when the character had dark skin compared to light. It's mainly just knowing what tone you want to establish and what features will lend themselves to what tone.
Hope this helps! And again just wanna stress, I've totally seen designs other people did that went against stuff I mentioned and were GORGEOUS so I don't mean anything like absolute rules haha. This is just what I do.
