Change TT NPC icon instead of removing on map

I think it would be better if they changed the TT icon for an NPC to a different style after winning. Right now, the TT icon is totally removed after you win a card. For example, they could change it to blue or green when you beat the NPC instead of totally removing the icon on the map. What if I only won one of the cards and I forgot where the NPC is located(I know the zone, not the pos)? Yeah I could look it up online, but it would save me time to see it on the map.

    yellow > unbeaten
blue > 1 card won (yes I know not all NPCs have two cards to give)
    green > all cards won

At least this way they still show up on the map. Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree. This would be a very convenient change.

An excellent idea, but considering how quickly so many people will have already beaten every NPC and acquired most of the cards in the first month of release... I can't see SE devoting time to this any time before Heavensward. Given that, I'd love to see it arrive as a QoL change when they introduce more cards after the first patch or so of Heavensward though!

Good idea. I would like to know when Swift, for example, is up.
I have beaten him many times but I've yet to claim the Raubahn card. He seems to be open only during very inconvenient times and I seem to need to camp him any time I really want to play against him.
Considering I go to Ul'Dah a lot, but not always to the Immortal Flames Headquarters, it would be nice to see some kind of marker to know whether he's available for play or not.

Like Swift I think it would be very helpful to know when any time locked NPCs are open, regardless of whether you have beaten them once or not.

I have been using a couple websites to track my progress. I just stumbled on this one today, it's laid out much better than the original one I was using:
    http://arrtripletriad.com/npc-location
This is the old one I was using, not bad but needs improvement. I like the NPC timers on the first link better. It just seems better organized.

    Hope this helps!!

I agree. This would be nice.

I'm pretty sure it's removed after you've won a game, regardless of whether you won a card.

If they're going to go with three levels of indicators like that (which would be nice), I think the middle one should be that you've beaten them, but don't have all the cards they can drop. Even if you don't yet have any of the cards they can drop, having beaten them before is significant for the Triple Team II achievement (and its Squall Leonhart card).

Then the third version of the icon (green in your example) would mean that you've both beaten them and have all the cards they can drop. (In some cases, you may have all their cards even without having beaten them yet, if none of their cards are unique and you got them from other sources. In that case, show the original "unbeaten" version of the icon.)

So the conditions end up more like:

yellow > unbeaten (might or might not have their card drops)
blue > beaten but don't have all the cards they can drop
green > beaten and have all the cards they can drop

Correct, Icon is gone once you have won. A nice little way to keep track of whether or not you have beaten said NPC while getting Squall. I like the idea of color coding, but as someone said, might be a stretch with other things coming out that possess more weight.

How is everyone progressing? I am at 55 cards. I have Squall too as my ace. Working at the 60 cards to allow for 3 * cards (planning on a primal deck!). It's quite the grind for those final few. I still need Chimera and Succubus from dungeons (Succubus via NPC too). WoD Onion Knight would be next in line. I am running out of NPCs to play that aren't time based pops. I have dropped at least 25k on gold booster packs with no luck. I might go for silver next to try and get Tataru and/or Lahabrea. Gold packs just gives me the finger, every time. I read in the producer notes they are planning on modifying the TT NPC's difficulty with 2.55 at the end of the month. As well as MGP payouts. Hopefully it will ease the grind a little. Right now I grind the Indolent Imperial at the N Thanalan / Mordhona zone for MGP. He's easy with a beastman asc deck + Squall.

Currently I am stuck at 44. Hab is being an undead DB and won't cough any up, and my deck is missing Kan-e so my % ins't too high on him. The guy in N. Grid won't give up Kan-e which is the last card I need from him. A few NPC's here and there are giving me ugly drop rates. I would like a 3* deck before the next implementation of TT lol.
