    Constructive ideas Thread.

    This game is basically having a second beta, so lets have a thread for creative ideas to make this game more fun. I'll start with an idea I had a while back.

    Stats. This game has you able to change class at whim and the armory system is about customizing your character. I think stats should better reflect that mind set. Right now, jumping between caster class and melee class can cause you to have "wasted" or "unless" stats for that class. For example, STR does nothing for me as mage and INT does nothing for me as a melee. I thought it would be interesting if all stats effected both melee and magic.

    (Note: This is a fantasy game. Who is to say how anything effects magic?)

    STR:
    Currently: Melee damage and shield block.

    My idea: Make it effect magic spell costs.
    Why: Stronger, healthier body can channel magical energies better. Think the mage channels magic through him and his muscles are the wiring for the energies.

    VIT:
    Currently: Hit points and physical damage resistance.

    My idea: Nothing really. VIT is a vital stat if you don't want the AoE to kill you or when the tank loses threat for a moment.

    DEX:
    Currently: Physical hit, physical critical hit, and evade.

    My idea: Make higher DEX lower cast time for spell.
    Why: DEX is part grace and part hand-eye coordination. I do not think it is that far of stretch that someone that is more graceful and better at fine manipulation would be able to get a spell off faster.

    INT:
    Currently: DD spell damage.

    My idea: Higher INT increases TP gains.
    Why: I like the idea of a smart tactical warrior. The smart warrior plans his attack and makes them count. TP attacks best represent this idea.

    MND:
    Currently: Mana points, healing spells, magic resistance.

    My idea: Higher MND increases heals on you.
    Why: Kind of a zen mind and body are one sort of thing. Melee will want to boost MND for bloodbath, second wind, and for healing spells cast on them. Making MND a great and wanted tanking/solo stat.

    PIE:
    Currently: Magic hit, magic critical, magic evade, DoT damage, debuff duration.

    My idea: Increase auto swing (aka haste)
    Why: Piety is a subjective thing and thus hard to translate into a physical change. For me, a pious warrior is a fearless warrior. A fearless warrior is not afraid to run into battle and attack his enemy. I feel this best translates in to melee attack speed.

    These are just a few ideas. Add on to them or throw in a few ideas that you think would improve this game.

    I like alternate uses for the stats because it gives deeper customization. You can make your character play more like you want it to. Granted, I accept balancing these stats would be a royal pain as well.

    Though your idea sounds very interesting, and could work well in many game scenarios... I think I prefer the route SE has already chosen to take:

    - 1.19 auto stat-allotment upon level up (this isn't what I like) as a lead into...
    - 1.20 custom stat-allotment upon level up (bingo, this allows me to adjust stats for all my classes individually to the style I wish to play on said class)

    Your idea is good and could have worked had they not alrerady stated that we will be able to allocate stats for each class.

    My stat ideas could still be used in the new system from stats for customization. You still get to put your stats where you want to form to your play style. Besides, it will give use to all that gear I find that, for example, favors CON but has STR on it.
