What do you feel is the easiest class to maximize your DPS on in raid scenarios?

From everything I have leveled to max (BRD, SMN/SCH, PLD/WAR, NIN, MNK) I find my bard and paladin to be my easiest jobs to play.

PLD > BRD > WAR/DRG (unless absolutely maxing out both survival and dps on WAR) > SMN > others imo

All you have to do as DRG is stand in AoEs and die and it will be ok cause you are a DRG!

BLM.. You don't need to remember super long rotation like DRG
Just keep 'pew pew' effectively

Black Mage and Paladin are both faceroll easy classes to do decent on, damage wise. After that, I'd say monk, bard, and Summoner.

For me, it's been Dragoon. I don't have to actually think of which button I hit next, it becomes a rhythm and then you can focus entirely on not standing in the bad and handling mechanics.

Heal : Scholar
Melee : DRG
Range : BLM and Bard

This ones in order : Bard - BLM - DRG - Scholar - PLD

I had played every clas now (DRG on another Character) and i dont found any of them difficult, Ninja was a bit special because of the mudra system, but after played it a few days he is not harder, than the other classes.

People consistantly saying that BLM is easy probably do 350 dps on easy dungeons with full augmented poetics and a broken rotation. I call them the "thunder III blms".

Being able to stay competitive in high-movements fights - like above 500ish in FCOB - mastering all the rotation tricks, fire weaving everytime its possible, learn when to use aaether.manip. and so on is not THAT easy.

Blm gameplay can give the feeling that you re doing it quite good but it has nothing to do with being an excellent BLM able to sustain high damage output in every situation.

Erm, the same could be said for ANY class. Doing a simple rotation is easy, mastering the class to deal with mechanics and using it to its full potential is a lot harder.

I think the point people are making, is the actual rotation for blackmage is far simpler than most DPS classes, same with bard in my opinion. I.E a monk has to dodge all of the above, as well as managing the rotation to keep GL3 during inactive periods as much as possible etc etc.

Not saying 'mastering' a blackmage is easy, but you have to admit the general basic mechanics are much easier than a lot of other DPS classes.
