If you want more cosplay clothes, just ask for more cosplay clothes. Don't beat around the bush.

having the af gear for the mch look like Balthier would be amazing plus on your comment Balthier gear in FFXII is not based on Ivalice lore so there no reason why it wont work in the FFXIV ARR world. i would love my mch to look like this:

I see the gear more as inspired by Mustadio from Tactics. I say inspired, more for the placement of tools and pouches on one side, belts, etc.

Mustadio is the original Machinist party member anyway (at least that's what his class was listed as. Edgar used tools but wasn't actually called a Machinist, and Mustadio uses the weapon.)
