Solution to the unending GC issue

We all know that Grand Company issue, where we suffer longer waiting times due to an imbalance in the amount of players queuing in the respective companies. It has been made very clear that the GC restrictions will not be lifted, I assume because the developers have less issues with queue times, if they indeed need to queue at all.

I propose this solution - an ability to select "willing to be a mercenary" in Duty Finder. It will firstly try to place you in your current GC but if it fails you will be placed in another where you\\\\'ll get exactly the same rewards as if you were in that GC but be unable to purchase their GC specific PVP gear. Wolf Marks will become cross GC. Exp will go to the PVP profile of the GC you played for, thus levelling up in that GC so if/when you transfer you don\\\\'t start at zero and already have a Wolf Marks supply.

I forgot to mention, you can wear your current GC PVP gear regardless of the GC you're a mercenary with and get no penalties for doing so. To buy and wear PVP gear from another GC you'd have to transfer, as you currently have to. For clarity, you can only wear the PVP gear of the GC you are *currently* enrolled with.

They could even introduce a new category of Mercenary PVP Gear based on a new lore, or even on the Crystal Braves (but this would require lore changes stating they will happily work with every GC regardless).

I think that a mercenary button sounds like an amazing idea. The three gc lore stays intact yet the queues problem can be fixed at the same time +1

I agree this would help solve a lot of problems, but sadly this is something that has been brought up many times. A lot of people have given detailed feedback on why the GC Restriction is a problem for us, and how those problems could be solved... but as things stand:
    - They have not acknowledged that the long, unpredictable, and inconsistent wait times we get, when the possibility of nearly instant and continuous gameplay exists, is a problem to them.
    - They have not acknowledged the very unequal player experience that comes from having a mostly static pool from which allies and opponents can be drawn.

Personally, I've expended about all the effort I plan to on providing input re: how they can make things better, and why they should, because not one thing has been said to indicate the feedback has been valued or will be given additional consideration.

This is essentially the biggest hurdle to cross, and until then I'm probably going to sit on my vote on no confidence. Nothing will change until they acknowledge that there is a problem. From what little info trickles down in regards to PvP in this game it seems like everything is "working as intended" as far as they're concerned. That includes the horrendous que times, unbalances in slaughter, unbalances in class system in PvP, and most other grips people have with this game mode.

The amount of lore that actually exists around PvP in this game is so small and insignificant that its basically non-existent save for a very small blurb in a cut scene that even bothered to mention its existence. This seems to be a common theme since the actual quest for frontline and the slaughter game mode aren't even presented with a quest flag for their respective npcs lol-you have to bumble across it by accident or actively have an interest in PvP and go google it. This also goes hand and hand with how much players actually experience lore in pvp match to pvp match i.e. none/zero. It servers no purpose than to segregate players which drives up que times due to lopsided pools and breeds an unfairness due to lack of good players for certain GCs on various data centers.

After all the time I spent trying to get my robe that I wanted, its come with the curse of being unable to move to another GC without losing it. And that really sucks.
I only joined malstorm cause my old FC said they were gonna do pvp, then they stopped while i kept going. Now I'll never be able to rejoin adders.

That's a shame... after all, without such a huge disincentive to change GC's, players wanting much faster queues could go from dominant to underdog GC's. Once someone's earned all the main trophies, having queues pop in 10% of the time could be a worthwhile reason some might want to move so they can just play. But NOPE! Can't be having that, as part of its 1-2 punch the system makes it so the higher someone's level is, and the more rewards they have in terms of gear and such, the greater the disincentive for them to ever leave as they'd have more to give up.
