I hope you mean the price is the details being finalised...? Availability is not the issue we have with it now...Hello everyone,
As you have already seen yourselves, FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward and the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Online bundle are slowly starting to appear on retailer websites in Australia and New Zealand.
Other versions of these titles should soon be added to these sites, but details are currently being finalised.
Please note that due to the time difference there is a good chance you might actually see the links before us when they go live, but nonetheless, we will update this thread as soon as we have more confirmed information on availability.
Thanks for your patience!

"... and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written."

^ This....
I would like to know if I need to cancel the deposit on my pre-order with EB games and buy the digital CE pre-order instead. Around $200 is high but I may be able to squeeze it into my budget.... $380 could buy me TWO WHOLE YEARS of subs and is certainly beyond what I would be willing to pay for a couple of trinkets on top of a game I could get for $300 less...

Or a brand new Wii U (White Basic Pack, $299), a pre-owned 'Premium Black' Wii U ($308) or a Limited Edition Majora's Mask New 3DS XL ($249). Sure, none of those are 'collectors edition' (though one is limited. Can't find it on EB Games online store any more), but... it's baffling how the expansion alone is roughly $70-80, when a small statue, an artbook and a DVD(?) suddenly cost $300 extra.
