    Good news everyone!

Mighty Ape just got confirmation that we're getting it in! The listings are up on the website if you wanna pre-order (There's both a NZ and an Aus website).

I won't post links just to be on the safe side but YAY FINALLY CONFIRMATION

EDIT: Also should have mentioned, looks like stock to AUS/NZ is gonna be extremely limited, so best get in fast lol

$375 for the PS4 version?! I don't think so. That is a ridiculous price for an expansion.

Yeah, the price sucks, but it's the initial price set by the suppliers for retailers. I can almost guarantee it'll drop a bit, but it's likely that it's going to be around this price for our regions

Whoosh you can't just look at one price and ignore the rest of the prices on the site. Here are the logistics of it.

Example. Bloodbourne is 59.99 in america but on that store it's 119.99 but 99.99 20% off atm.

Now think of it like a math problem. 59.99=100% So what does 119.99=? if 119.99=59.99

    It's simple 200%.

Now let's look at the CE. 129.99, on that site it's 399.99 with "Extremely limited stock!"

Now here is where it's not SE's fault but the owner of the site who marks up the price.

Notice the limited stock. They know they don't have enough to supply everyone but the demand is going to be high, so they will get those will to foot the bill and profit as much as they can from the cost of the product.

As it stands yes with a 130=100% 400=307% markup but there are variables to consider with a markup.

On video games with a small weight and size to them it's easy for the markup to be cheap but they can say ship 100 in a box and maybe pay 6k for that delivery and mark it up to 99.99

With the CE it's different, the box is big, they have to pay for each box they send out so now it's like ok maybe 10 can fit in a box and the weight might cause it to cost 250 to send out alone, pretty much they take a big loss for a potential profit in the end because whatever units don't sell is a huge loss to them so they have to be cautious with how many they take in.

In the end sadly it's basic economics, what you are experiencing are the early days of Japanese importing in america, when things weren't as popular and you had to go to hobby shops to obtain items because your country didn't have any stationed business to set up deals to buy items at surplus for cheaper or have a contract with a delivery service to make the overhead cheaper for them.

This is looking to be quite a let down.

Unless EBgames manages a miracle, Digital CE it is.

Just to add also look at MGSV Phantom Pain on that site, that is Konami, Gamestop in america is selling the Collector's edition for 99.99, on that site it's going for 339.99 and the reason I bring this up is because people's responses are being misleading as to who to focus on because of pricing. It's not SE that is setting up these prices, these are the prices set by an importer who supplies the demand and because it's limited they set their price as such.

That CE price on MightyApe... Wow...
People thought the EU price increase was bad, this is the real deal here. Pretty much a 300% price hike over the JP/ NA pricing.
    Digital it is.

That said, you can't really base prices off of eachother, as there are so many different factors that go into each item's retail pricing.

But yeah, import costs and tax and all that jazz hits Aus and NZ pretty hard game-wise, which is why it's always so much more expensive here than America.

EDIT: I remember I bought a DS game in America for what was basically the equivalent of $30NZD, and when I got back I saw it was selling here for about $60. The video games market in general is overpriced over here due to the importers (or probably more the exporters overseas). Wish that would change though...
