Housing market value & insane prices?

Maybe she indeed "should have" been able to save enough for a house, many of us have, but I would never ever be against ANY reduction...errrr why would anyone?

So someone doesnt snag up the plot im trying to buy, just because they have been playing for way longer and decided they wanted that plot on some random day and instantly bought it; without saving up?

Masamune (Legacy Server): Tonberry Minion - 990 gil (2015.03.11) vs X (Eu Server) - 60.000 - 90.000 gil. (Im not gonna reveal that EU server because of personal reasons)

So yeah i know how to make money no matter the cost, but as you can see...
whats not worth crap on my server is worth hell of alot more on other servers.

Minions arent exactly stable sources of gil tho, so in my opinion thats a rather bad example. (even more so since you dont wish to reveal the eu server)
On my own server there are hundreds of items capable of making that kind of money, altho some would take months of saving; others only days.
If you know how to make money, you have been playing since 1.0; and you have available housing plots; there is literally not reason whatsoever to not have a house.

We can't actually see that because you gave one item as an example. Hardly representative of your server's economy. Surely there are methods of making gil on your server.

i guess i could list all the items and worth compared to another server but with the forum text limitations & time spent on doing that... i just wont
So in short, nothing on my current server (masamune) not much or anything is worth anything.
Everything has a low price on the markets, the only thing worth something is relic-weapon upgrade materials,
and in this case i need to either gather myself, buy on markets (for high price) or craft myself.

In wich turn i need best possible crafting & gathering gear. (including materia) now, if i spent money on that it is impossible for
me to even cosidering buying a small house when the market value is not even flexible in any possible way.

I like to think having a house (being the ingame content & something i asked for myself) is suppose to be fun.

Minions as an example is the only thing worth something, while doing off world trading / sales & come back with a fortune,
however that fortune is limited by SquareEnix dev team to 1mil /character & if not mistaken 100.000 gil / retainer.
In other words, i can transfer 1.4 mil on each server transfer. (and dont even call this RMT or scamming, it's legal)

Actually screw this, seems you guys more interested in bashing how i make gil or not, instead you rather see wastedd ingame content go to waste.
Rather than making it actually useful for really freakin dedicated players?

All in all this housing idea and its details is going to waste.

Masamune's economy is CRAZY LOW. So much so that most items you'll encounter will sell more at NPc vendors than on the market. most attempts to make money yield pocket change, enough for duty roulettes to be the faster way to make Gil on this server. I don't think you realize how low prices are here, and how nearly impossible it is to make a profit by working the markets. This inability to make money by way of market and circulating funds make the NPC cost of items required for Relics, and housing prices HUGELY disproportionate.

How much does materia cost on your server? Savage Might/Aim IV, Craftsman's IV, Gatherer's IV.

Competence IV: 135k

Command IV: 95k

Guerdon IV: 130k

Grasp IV: 93k

Mastercraft Demimateria: 40k

100-200k depending on what you've mentionned... grade III nothing zbove 9k. Crit and Acuracy Grade II are 20k and by far the better option to make gil with materia, due to the lesser impact of RNG and greater ease of spiritbonding. Still peanuts, the greater cost is time

Wow.. that certainly put my foot in my mouth..

But that sounds like a nice opportunity to make gobs of gil. Consider moving to Jenova, regular shards are constantly going for 120-150 (wind shards are actually 200+ atm)
Savage Aim/Might are usually 500k+ sometimes even 800k+

anywayz, im gonna make a suggestion to SE's dev team.

Instead of maybe lowering the price to buy a house no matter what size.

How about letting me rent one for x amount of time?
(I dont mind making up the monthly rent/quota to pay the fee)

Or maybe even consider adding this small option to players that cant afford full price of a small house straight away?

I really enjoy the housing feature and im pretty sure Inzoum that posted above can vouch for that.

But i kinda feel bad for our FC members, after i've been wrecking havok in the house garden & completly overhauled the house.
Not to mention all the members that might never get the freedom / option to even try out this fantastic feature!?

What about the players that arnt allowed to mess with the house / garden?

You cant argue with this being a BAD idea, because you know what?... it's a damn good one!
