In the end, it seems as though this is a pointless cost. My internet is far from high speed, I download updates at roughly 250 KB at best, often times slower. Just to download the game itself on my PS4 via the trial version I spent a total of 4 whole days. I can only imagine the time it'll take to update since my PS3 version took longer to update than to download the game itself back in December. The main reason I even care about this restriction is because it not only seems nonsensical, but it means I'll be unable to play the game for quite a few days for what amounts to no good reason in my mind.

If someone could explain why this makes sense, by all means, I'm all ears. Right now however I see no benefit for Square in this choice, instead I find it detrimental. A customer whom of which has played Final Fantasy XI for 5 years and now has started to play this, as well as having been a fan of the company for quite some time, is now disgruntled and annoyed. Who does that benefit?
