Any hopes of getting a new server with the expansion ?

Hey all,

I have been looking this info up for some time but I cannot find an answer, i'm hoping in the near future we can have some answers about this matter.


I myself I am really hoping some new server will pop up so people that would like a fresh start or new players can hop on.

Seriously doubt they will add a new server. why?.......cause they already have your money and new players can still join the other servers that are not over populated yet.

I assume extra servers are added for space reasons and since we already have many underpopulated servers I don't see what the point would be.

There are some servers with low population, untill we have all servers medium-high, you will not see a new server.

New Servers for the expansion would be cool, and I'm seriously hoping for it. But, some servers are small. Only real hopes I have for new servers is maybe with the new EU Datacenter, or w/e that Twintania Server is on Primal

We don't need new servers, we need a free transfer campaign to encourage people moving from the insanely high population servers to the low population ones.

What really doesn't help is the way Gil is treated for transfers (although if you're smart you can make millions off transferring) and Housing locking people to a server. If they could sort out the Housing supply such that you could move server with your House, or entire Free Companies could move without reseting to Rank 1, that would be a lot better.

What would the point of this be? It might be cool if server transfers were not allowed and everyone started from level 1, but even then it is so fast to catch up on things in this game I doubt it would get much popularity.

Some time ago, they said they would move the Eu serer in Europe (currently in Canada), but no new server announced.

They released new servers for PS4 release, and there's still plenty of room on those servers, new players could join there.

Although it would be nice if they just took Balmung off the list entirely so we wouldn't have to see a million more complaints about it being locked through 3.0...

well as far as I can think of solution they can always merge some servers to make 1 or 2 orso completely empty and then use one as a new one for the expansion.

there are more then 1 solutions just a matter of them wanting to implement it or not.

btw just wondering how do you people know or where can you see what the server population is ?
