    How Rest Exp Works

So I've gotten into the habit of hanging out in the inn each time a log off. I know rested EXP give you 50% bonus and the rested bar increases over time that your off line.

I guess my question is by how much? I also noticed it is more like a per level bar than a set exp.. Like I may of been offline long enough to get 3 levels, but if I level a low level profession 3 times say levels 3,4, and 5 its gone or I could of used it to level a higher profession 3 level say 34,35, and 36.. Personally I think that is bs, but that's how it appears to work..

Anyone have more insight? What happens when you log off with a level 50, do you still get rested exp for other classes and professions?

I dont think you have to logout in an inn to get rested bonus. As long as you see the moon symbol at the end of your exp bar, you should be in a good spot to log.

I dont know any of the specifics but im usually on one of my lvl 50s and i can see the rest bar overlapping my exp bar. Once it fills up most of the way, i play one of my lower lvls for awhile. You will see the bonus display next to the exp given upon kills in your chat text. This display is combined with other bonus types though... fc, food, chain kills and such.

Any time you log out in a sanctuary you start accruing rest XP. It's based on a percentage of a level - not a flat amount of XP - so ideally you want to burn through it on one of your highest level classes so you get the most benefit out of it before switching to any low levels you're still working on.

If it worked the other way around and just gave you a boost for a fixed amount of XP gained, you could just log out for a few hours on a high-level class, switch to a low one and get many, many levels worth of rested XP out of it - having it work on a percentage basis means it's always "level appropriate" even when you switch classes.
