Au Ra and Demons

I know the Au Ra are an over used topic as of late, but anyone else wondering (after the pax east show) that the Au Ra might me more closely related to Demons than Dragons?

Yugiri does say how the people of Eozea might not look kindly apon her people. And we all know how Gridania hates those Demons. Yoshi-P did say "The face structure, for this race, is a little different than what you're currently familiar with. There is a certain direction that isn't really reptilian, but more succubus-like, or demon-like." So maybe all them dragon fan boys have a chance at being wrong :P Personally I would love the idea that they aren't dragon related. What do you all think?

Because they have dragon-like looks, and Eorzea are in a fight with dragons, bahamut and stuff and now ishgard.

yes because eorzea only fights dragons-like monster, and are totally OK with anything that is not dragon.

and IMO they look lot more like ogre/hapalit hybrids than dragon-hybrid

No, I'm just saying if you're fighting dragons and suddenly a dragon-like race presents to you, you wouldn't be friendly with them. That's what Yugiri implied.

Let's think about this logically.
Au Ra are being introduced in Heavensward. Which takes place in Ishgard. Ishgard has a massive hate-on for dragons.
There is lore explicitly stating that dragons and humans can do the horizontal monster mash.
There are only implications of demons doing the same, and there hasn't been any indication of that union producing children.
Demons (or "voidsent") also come from a completely different world and very, very rarely cross over. Dragons are not only over here, they have their own freaking country.
Thus, Au Ra are draconic. Females can "look like a succubus" because they're pretty with monstrous features, they can also look "cute."

I agree with OP Completely. I got the same impression from watching PAX-East show and listening to what YoshiP had to say about it. He said SPECIFICALLY that they were LESS REPTILIAN and MORE SUCCUBUS/DEMON. He also described that he wanted to make sure that the race would be a popular selection, so the female characters were modelled after body types that statistically should eb selected more often, which is why they range from super cute to awesome Succubus.

Also, in the Lore Thread, under Au Ra Physiology, Fern posted that the adjective form of Au Ra is Auri, and there is already text in the game that referres to an Auri Warrior who held Odin's weapon before Odin did, or something along those lines, which predated Shiva. This then fully debunked the ideaa that Shiva was the progenitor of the Auri race.

It wasn't clear from his translation, but what he actually said was more along the lines of those being options for character creation. He was trying to "sell" Au Ra since there was a backlash against the demo ones looking super duper waifish.

where is the logic in a country that have massive hate against dragons let hybrid-dragon wander freely in their cities?

If I was an ishgard leader and see dragon-hybrid closing my cities i'd give order to the guard to kill'em on sight.
