He brings up a good point. Regardless if it was a sarcastic remark or not, is it really that hard to say, "Yes, I'm new" when asked?

Is it really hard to admit, "Damn, I messed up. I should've tried talking more to make sure we'd all have the best experience." ?

The point isn't that all speedruns are bad, all tanks are bad, all newbies must say they're new. The point is that a little more communication would have been much better in the long run and that assumptions shouldn't be made. From both sides yes.
