My sig is as old as this character is and I've had sigs turned off for at least a year now. I don't even remember what it says now! I used to try to talk to people, and I do at least say hi to folks when I queue in, but I've become cynical and worn down by the general level of stupidity in chat that I rarely look at it anymore.

Oh, ha! That was in response to all the chuckleheads begging for commendations when they first came out while acting like a general asshat through the dungeon. That being said, I do at least say hi so I am keeping in the spirit of my sig.

Wrong question was asked base on incorrect assumption. Ask if people want to speed run. If they don't respond and/or say yes, then do NOT speed run.

Pretty much this. Given unknown variables, you should be veering on the side of caution, not expediency.
