Like everyone else said, don't assume speedrun, ask before hand.

Not every healer is happy to heal you through 4 packs of mobs ya know, being new to a dungeon doesn't have anything to do with it.

Get some manors.

IMO, its the new players responsibility to ask for instructions.

Lately I've been noticing people asking for tips and the tanks just running on in anyway before anyone can advise that person.

Tanks clearly have the worst attitude in this game at the moment.

No but what people are saying is if it says "newb in the party beware !!" then naturally be aware.

Sometimes people don't want to be singled out, tanks used to be notorious for ditching parties if someone was new lets not forget.

I fail to see what housing has to do with anything here.

May I just ask that you recognize that it would be more correct to say;

Some, but NOT all, tanks clearly have the worst attitude in this game at the moment.

Otherwise your statement pretty much damns any tank regardless of how they behave or communicate.

We are not all bad, those of us who main tank generally enjoy the role and don't have the self entitled chip on their shoulder that you get from others. Of course I want to get through the dungeons pretty quickly, and when I see a bunch of fully decked out people in my party I'm going to pull everything I see and go to town, but if the healer is some guy fresh into the ilvl bracket for that dungeon I'm not gonna say hey buddy watch this and run train on him. I think some of the problem stems from those with tank alts who only que as a tank for the faster que times which is why they fly off into the distance before you see a protect go up, and now tanks seem to have been branded as douches.

Tank pulls lots of mobs then wonders why they're taking so long to die. I mean, I do ok AoE damage as a NIN, but just ok. I definitely can't carry the AoE by myself. And a monk? lol...

2 melee = pull 1 pack at a time and watch things melt under focused single target damage + healer DPS'ing.

Making 2 melee AoE is just ridiculously slow.

"Hey, the SCH is using a Darklight grimoire and a couple of pieces of AF gear. Maybe I should take it slow."

@OP - it's generally safer to assume people are new and didn't speak up than to assume that the silence means nobody is new. Several possbilities as to why you didn't get a response have already been suggested.

I actually have been thinking up a macro for my tank stating I am there to help and if they need full clear, etc to let me know and I will be happy to oblige. I am not a douche but even my patience has limits. I, however, will still be as courteous as I can be.
