Who else's not looking forward to Dark Knight?

I play healers/dps more often than tanks, so I'm neutral with the Dark Knight class. I may give it a shot later on.

I'm more looking forward to trying out Astrologian. The card aspect of the class really appeals to me!

As such, I expect just because a DRK tank can start at 50, doesn't mean they will have the gear to tank properly. No Staples 'that's easy' button there, for DRK tanks, I suspect.

Why would DRK be any different than classes now?
It's been made clear they have to level up to 60, just like any class (admittedly we don't know if it starts at 1 or 30 or something else). Presumably DRK will wear tank gear so their gear situation would be the same as any other tank at the same level...
Even if, for a crazy reason, DRK doesn't wear War/Paly gear, they'd have to add in a bunch of level appropriate gear for leveling. At 60 they'd be on the same page as everyone else with tome gear or raid drops or whatever.

If we look to Ninja as an example of an added class/job, they used current gear all the way up to i110. You could have had an i110 ninja immediately upon hitting 50 if you did a teeny bit of planning.

With so many playing death knight healers will get all the adventurer in need bonuses (HOORAY)

There's going to be just as many if not more playing Astrologian, though.

Definitely more playing Machinist.
