Becoming Nanamo!

So I love Nanamo to death, she's my idol, and I want her outfit and hairstyle!

Then a thought that came to mind, "what if they added Grand Company Leader outfits and hairstyles to the Gold Saucer as rewards?... including Sultanate too (Nanamo)."

I mean, we do have Lightning's outfit and hairstyle, and soon Clouds to come. And those are nice, but they don't appeal to me. I'm a female Lalafell and I want to suit myself in styles befitting my cute image!

Anyone else thing this is a great idea, too? What other ideas can we come up with that can be added to the Gold Saucer?

Having -any- of the NPCs hairstyles and outfits would be awesome. I've been hoping to get Alphinaud's hairstyle every since I saw him in the very first cut scene on my very first day. Having a male version of Minfilia's costume would be a dream come true aswell! xD

We already have Lightning and Cloud wannabes. Why not?

The devs want that some NPC stay unique so it's unlikely.

In theory, we already have "redesigned" versions of what the GC leaders wear; it's the Hunt GC gear.

The Elite Adder Caster set is a redesign of Kan-E-Senna's dress. (Kan-E-Senna is a white mage)
The Elite Storm DPS set is a redesign of Merlwyb's coat. (Merlwyb is a damage dealer gunner)
The Elite Flame Tank set is a redesign of Raubhan's armor. (Raubhan is a gladiator)

It's a way to imply that the Elite of each GC is what closest approaches the power of each respective leader. I don't think we can have the exact outfit of theirs though, as that would take away the special look out of them. I think it's also why the Elite sets are not dyable.

Cloud and Lightning are not actually IN this game though. Lightning just had a cameo appearance and the costumes are just cosplay fan service. Being able to make yourself look like the actual main story NPCs in FFXIV though would be a little odd. This is why all the Scions have unique outfits that can't be replicated by players; it's a deliberate design choice to keep the main characters of the story unique.

Nanamo Ul Nanamo is easily the most adorable little lady in Eorzea. Every time she shows up in a cutscene, my poor Lalafell has to fight her instincts not to give her a big hug...

And that's why we shouldn't be able to copy her appearance.

She's special because of that uniqueness. Her outfit, her hairstyle, her makeup. All of it combined makes her different to other Lalafell, and is the sole reason we consider her so cute. If you make it available to all, eventually there are tens, maybe even hundreds of Nanamo's all running around which takes the special uniqueness out of her character.

Of course, more of that Halloween candy would be nice so at least we can play pretend for a while.
