I don't like it, because leveling things is one of my favorite parts of the game, and I would prefer to start at 1 every time.

I just hope its not 50. At least let players get to know the new jobs before doing anything in the df. I feel like level 30 is good enough for a player to understand the class before the expansion content.
it's something between 30~50
My bets are on lv 30 because its the level you get a job in this game.
@OP
This is ok that new jobs are not starting from lvl 1, they are JOBS not classes and if they start we got some mess when some jobs start from 1 and rest no while all classes start from 1, let's save this order....Classes start from lvl 1, jobs from lvl 30.
And if you want to start from lvl 1 then use sync feature and start running lower fates/dungeons/guildhests with this new classes and you will be happy while order stay as it is.

Thank you for the comment but in response to your advice..... thats not really the problem i wanted to actually level up my jobs, and as has been mentioned not forcing the new tanks and healers to que for lowerlevel dungoens means we miss out on a surge of faster ques that would potintally help alot of new players in the long run,@OP

Sad part is, this already happens :/ Especially at 50, some people just don't want to take the time to learn their jobs. It's been happening even more frequently lately, in dungeons I'll end up paired up with someone who has full i130, zodiac or zeta weapon and have no clue how to play their job. :/ Had a blm earlier who'd run up, flare, tranpose, flare, blizzard 1, flare, on everything. Or sometimes one who never uses blizzard 3. Then I get some war at 50 who have i120-i130 who run up and maim combo spam on things.
But I agree, they should start at lvl 1, theres no reason not to and most of these excuses people give to start at 30 or 50 make them sound extremely lazy, like they want to play a mmo, but don't want to put in the time to play it. I've actually seen a few people go "I don't want to have to level a second job 1-50+, so it should start higher". What? If you don't want to take the time to level it, then don't play it.
Half these people give me that feeling they've never played a mmo in their life and are part of this new generation of "gamers" who want everything super fast, for no work, the mobile game generation, who pay 50.00 and get all their things done. That's not how mmos work. Even if you think leveling from 1 "teaches you nothing" or "it's boring", suck it up and do it, it's part of the mmo and rpg experience, there's always a grind. If you don't have time for it or can't be bothered to put in a little effort, I think this is the wrong genre of games for you.
Inc people who will argue because they can't handle the truth~

But when you go low level roulette you can be thrown in lower dungeons so this is not a problem, someone start playing Dark knoght and go low level roulette and can end up in first dungeons that are avaible to play, when i lvl all classes i mostly land in that pre 30lvl dungeons.Thank you for the comment but in response to your advice..... thats not really the problem i wanted to actually level up my jobs, and as has been mentioned not forcing the new tanks and healers to que for lowerlevel dungoens means we miss out on a surge of faster ques that would potintally help alot of new players in the long run,
The new jobs deffinitely will land in that low level dungeons as any other old jobs, dont see any problem.
My hope is that when unlocked, all three new jobs start at level 1. What I would really like though, given all of the conflicting sources, is a clear, concise, statement directly from Square on the forums, and not from a game/fan site, that states something like "When you unlock one of the three new jobs, that job will start at level x".
True, but they will still have to limit the skills on the new jobs. I can't imagine running Satasha as a Dark knight using level 30 skills. I doubt SOE will do\allow that.But when you go low level roulette you can be thrown in lower dungeons so this is not a problem, someone start playing Dark knoght and go low level roulette and can end up in first dungeons that are avaible to play, when i lvl all classes i mostly land in that pre 30lvl dungeons.

Personally I prefer leveling from level 1. It let's you get a feel for your skills and eases you into your rotation slowly. This way you get a firm grasp of your skills. If you start at 30 it's less of a grind, yet a way harder initiation to learn your class.
15 Would be the perfect middleground imho
Basically every class except 1 2 3 PLD hasn't even learned half of their rotation skills yet at lvl 30. idk how the newbies will handle it ,though starting at lvl 1 hasnt helped 90 percent of the drgs who have no idea what heavy thrust is, as a veteran tank i doubt i would need more than 5 mins with drk to learn how to tank with it. The fact that you dont have a base class for the new jobs lvl 30 is the best bet, i cant see lvl 15 even being an option if they go that way no reason not to just start at lvl 1.True, but they will still have to limit the skills on the new jobs.
